John Cena entered “Piper’s Pit” with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper has never shied away from controversy, so WWE fans weren’t exactly surprised when Hot Rod flat-out asked John Cena if the WWE Universe’s boos were starting to get to him. Always cool under pressure, the Cenation leader refused to gripe and instead insisted that he can’t control the way the crowd reacts, but he can control what happens in the ring. Cena’s honorable response did not convince Piper, who made it clear that if the powerful Superstar doesn’t face his critics before WrestleMania, he may suffer for it. The Scotsman then added an exclamation to his statement by handing the former WWE Champion his Hall of Fame ring before slapping him across the face.
The Miz def. John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere Match
Once the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Miz and John Morrison have argued for years over who became the Marty Jannetty of the pair. The WWE Universe may have received the answer to that question tonight. Bashing JoMo’s leg with a steel pipe before The Prince of Parkour even entered the ring, The Awesome One got a big advantage early and proceeded to punish his opponent with a kendo stick. Although he battled valiantly, Morrison was deemed unable to compete after being knocked for a loop by a Skull Crushing Finale on the entrance ramp — the same maneuver The Miz used to put R-Truth out of action last Monday.
United States Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Randy Orton
Get ready for some endless braggadocio. After scoring a surprise victory over Randy Orton, the arrogant Dolph Ziggler looked ready to grab his iPhone and start Tweeting about his triumph, but the United States Champion’s win wasn’t exactly hard-fought. Distracted by his rival Wade Barrett who was sitting in on commentary, WWE’s Apex Predator took his eyes off his prey for a split-second and ended up falling victim to a Zig Zag. It was arguably a cheap victory, but that didn’t’ stop Ziggler from celebrating with, of all things, a headstand.
Daniel Bryan was confronted by Michael Cole and World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry
Days after his Money in the Bank “cash in” on World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry was overturned due to Henry being injured, Daniel Bryan exchanged words with one of his biggest critics — Michael Cole. Calling Bryan a hypocrite for cashing in after he promised he wouldn’t, the sniveling announcer attempted to belittle the tenacious Superstar before he faces The World’s Strongest Man for the coveted title in a Steel Cage Match on SmackDown. Not one to be rattled, Bryan made it clear that his new goal is to win the World Heavyweight Championship, which brought out a very ornery Mark Henry. Scoffing at his underdog challenger, the big man promised to induct the submission expert into the Hall of Pain. Instead of firing back an insult, Bryan blasted Henry’s injured leg, assuring the heavyweight’s tender ankle will still be vulnerable in 24 hours.
Zack Ryder def. Jack Swagger
The “Ryder Revolution” continued unabated in Columbia as The “Woo Woo Woo Kid” fist pumped his way to victory over the dangerous Jack Swagger. With that win, Ryder looked one step closer to receiving his United States Championship Match with Dolph Ziggler.

WWE Champion CM Punk def. Alberto Del Rio
The Mexican Aristocrat didn’t think CM Punk was going to go down that easy, did he? Barely one week into his reign as WWE Champion, The Straight Edge Superstar defended his title in a bout where he would have lost the championship had he been disqualified. Attempting to take advantage of this stipulation, Del Rio removed a turnbuckle pad and brought a steel chair into the ring. But the WWE Champion had his opponent scouted and tossed the foreign object before sending the underhanded Superstar headfirst into the exposed turnbuckle for the cunning win.

WWE SURVIVOR SERIES United States Champion Dolph Ziggler def. John Morrison

The arrogant Ziggler engaged in a tough back and forth battle with The Prince of Parkour. He earned the pinfall after viciously attacking Morrison’s vulnerable neck before finishing him off with a crushing Zig Zag. With two matches in one night at Survivor Series less than a month after doing the same at Vengeance, the blond-coifed showoff has been convincing the WWE Universe that he just might be as good as he claims to be.
The build-up to Ziggler’s title defense against JoMo was not without controversy. The match was announced this week on WWE.com despite the popular Twitter petition of Internet Champion Zack Ryder, who was angling for a title match himself.
The request was not accepted by Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis and the sold-out Madison Square Garden crowd sounded off on the issue, chanting “We want Ryder!” during the bout. They were not disappointed, as after Ziggler’s win, Ryder stormed the ring and gave the blond egoist a quick thrashing to the cheers of the WWE Universe.
After a post-victory battering and so many recent matches, Dolph Ziggler must feel like he needs a break. However, it will be tough for him to get one with a motivated and confident Zack Ryder constantly challenging him. Will these two Superstars meet again? Tune in to Raw SuperShow Monday nights at 9/8 CT on USA Network.
WWE SURVIVOR SERIES Team Barrett def. Team Orton (Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match)

Team Barrett went into the battle with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Hunico and United States Champion Dolph Ziggler. Team Orton brought Sheamus, Mason Ryan,

The action started with
But Team Orton then lost a member of its own when Sin Cara was left unable to compete after suffering a ruptured patella tendon while leaping from the ring to the arena floor
When the action resumed following Sin Cara’s injury,
With emotions running high, Sheamus was disqualified for repeatedly kneeing Swagger in the head and refusing to heed the ref’s call to stop. After being disqualified, Sheamus blasted Swagger again for good measure – leaving the door open for Orton to eliminate Swagger, making it 3-1.
Despite the odds against him, a fired up Viper stood his ground and did not back down from his foes. Backed into a corner, The Viper showed his fangs, eliminating Hunico with a mid-air RKO.
But the odds were too much to overcome, even for WWE’s Apex Predator. After Orton dropped
With the historic win, Barrett’s name will now be mentioned among some of WWE’s greats, who also made history at Survivor Series. In 1990, Undertaker made his dark presence known. And in 1996, The Rock debuted in MSG, where he was the sole Survivor for his team.
And despite his loss, Orton still boasts one of the most prolific histories ever at Survivor Series, including his 2004 and 2005 appearances, when he was sole Survivor for his team.
WWE SURVIVOR SERIES CM Punk def. WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio (New WWE Champion)
Making good on his pledge to beat WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series, CM

If Punk’s choice for his personal ring announcer was any indication, the man definitely knows what the WWE Universe wants. Recruiting WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel to vocally overpower

Blistering his opponent with the devastating strikes and submissions holds he’d learned during his brutal years competing in the most dangerous corners of the world,
Still, there wasn’t a single move in the Mexican Superstar’s arsenal that could have stopped WWE’s antihero. Rearranging Del Rio’s good looks with his tattooed fists, Punk beat the aristocrat to the canvas before cinching in an Anaconda Vise that was so unforgiving it may have very well put the champion in the hospital had he not submitted first. (LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ANACONDA VISE)
With that, the sold-out
Earlier this year, when Punk returned to WWE after leaving the company in controversial fashion, he said he did so because it was the only way he could bring about change. Now that the spotlight is on him, let’s see what The “Voice of the Voiceless” can do.
WWE SURVIVOR SERIES Big Show def. World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry (Disqualification)

After the match, Henry tried to reinjure The World’s Largest Athlete, just as he did at Money in the Bank, but Big Show turned the tables and instead used the champion’s own tactics against him. Although he didn’t leave
Following their titanic confrontation at WWE Vengeance last month – which ended in a No Contest after the ring collapsed – WWE officials made the decision to reinforce the squared circle at Survivor Series. Big Show ensured the ring’s stability before the match by running the ropes and jumping up and down. While the added support increased the chances of the ring staying upright, it would do little to stop the shockwaves from both Superstars trading blows, shaking all of
Literally the biggest rivalry in WWE, the conflict between Big Show and Mark Henry has endured for months, and only intensified at Money in the Bank in July when Henry inducted Big Show into the infamous Hall of Pain, leaving The World’s Largest Athlete sidelined until October. After Big Show’s return, the almost 900-pound combined weight of both ring warriors prevented The World’s Largest Athlete from finding retribution at Vengeance .
It was fitting for The World’s Largest Athlete to battle The World’s Strongest Champion inside The World’s Most Famous Arena, and the two titans certainly did not disappoint. Each Superstar channeled his inner rage and deep-seeded aggression toward one another. The highly-competitive match went back and forth, with both Superstars coming very close to victory. At one point, it looked as though Henry would win by count-out after slamming Big Show through the barricade at ringside. After returning to the ring before the count of 10, Big Show built a great deal of momentum, and even ascended to the top-rope to execute a massive elbow drop. At this point, Henry decided it was better to save his World Heavyweight Title, dodging the Weapon of Mass Destruction and intentionally low-blowed his rival, causing a disqualification.
After the match, The World’s Strongest Man attempted to rid himself of Big Show altogether by wrapping a steel chair around the giant’s ankle in a repeat of his actions at Money in the Bank. However, The World’s Largest Athlete recovered and saw the opportunity to achieve retribution. Knocking Henry out, Big Show placed the chair around the champion’s leg and brought all of his weight crashing down on Henry’s vulnerable ankle.
Big Show’s ultimate act of retribution may have caused Henry to require assistance leaving the squared circle, but has he only further enraged the World Heavyweight

WWE SURVIVOR SERIES The Rock & John Cena def. The Miz & R-Truth
NEW YORK — A hallowed institution situated at the core of the Big Apple, Madison Square Garden has bore a dynasty of cherished WWE moments – Jimmy Snuka’s steel cage-top leap, the WWE Title bout that sparked Hulkamania in 1984, The Game’s exultant return from injury in 2002 and so many more. Add to that list the night “The Most Charismatic Tag Team of All Time” came to The Mecca of Sports-Entertainment to put aside their approaching WrestleMania XXVIII dream match and instead put boots to the asses of The “Awesome Truth.” Though John

Worldwide, droves of WWE fans, Superstars, Legends – literally everyone – wondered how the Cenation leader and The Great One could possibly keep it together. Precisely 133 nights before their rock of ages collision at The Show of Shows on April 1, the vast, clash-ready personalities of The Rock and Cena paired to combat a reckless, riotous twosome hell-bent on eclipsing the ’Mania-bound icons.
As the
This unlikely union was forged seven years after Cena (at his first-ever WrestleMania) and The Rock passed like two vessels in the night, much like the NYC buses featuring their iconic faces in the streets outside the Garden. When offered a teammate of his choosing by Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis, The Cenation Commander-in-Chief did the unthinkable, selecting a man who hadn’t seen competition since his last match in 2004, ironically, inside MSG. In the end, it seemed Cena picked the right tag team partner after all.
Fueled by the entwined lineage of his family and the Garden, The Great One returned home at Survivor Series. At the same annual event in which his WWE career was born in 1996, The People’s Champion reignited his thirst for serving smackdown and the timing couldn’t be better. In mere months, his teammate tonight will turn to rival in the most highly anticipated match in WrestleMania history.

Despite a shared victory in
What unique yet intersecting Roads to WrestleMania will The Great One and the Cenation leader trace to April 1? Time tells all.
